Nope not yet, I got some stuff to off at the next gun show so I can put down a decent payment, plus the 2004 is now paid off and the whole not having a truck payment is just money in the bank.

I got my 04 back in oct 2008, but I would just go to menards, get four of those 70 pd sand bags over the axle and it was ok, also was useing winterforce tires.
I could very much so make do with a bigger 2wd, I would just drop it 4/6 like I did my other.
I will say after putting the 04 in storage my insurance went down to $39.00 a month for the truck and civic.
I might just wait till spring/summer and do something dumb, like a Z06 or GT500.

I've used my four-wheel-drive for a lot more than snow, so I consider it a necessity. My 2011 CCSB LT 6.2 4x4 was $32k last February, definitely not expensive enough to justify doing without 4wd. I drove my dad's 2wd 03 a lot a few years back, and after taking that truck through a few hunting trips and some serious snowdrifts, I'll never get a truck without it.

I would've been more inclined to drop from crew to extended than ditch the 4wd had I needed to save a couple bucks. Obviously going for the 6.2 indicates that saving every last penny isn't a huge concern. Lol.

My days of mudding and what not are over, if I need 4wd, I got my grandfathers truck if it's gonna get bad out and if im gonna be off road, I'll take my four wheeler.
After the 96 GMC Sierra Z-71 RCLB I had,it was a beast with nothing more then a level kit and 33 mud terrians, that thing spent a good time of it's life in some pretty muddy wet places, pulled a bunch of others out and only had to get yanked out once cause I bottomed out on the frame, AND IT WAS DRY AS A BONE!!!! Southern ohio.....3am......sawing trees down.....tank.

I've never had my current rig in the snow or the mud, but I live in between sand dunes and desert trails and running my quad out into the good spots in the dunes or exploring the bigger trails and areas out here have required 4-wheel-drive, so I'm definitely glad I have it. Could I have done without it? Of course, but I've got no reason to. If you have easy access to another 4wd and haven't found any reason to use one in a long time I can see why you wouldn't get one, just explaining my position on the matter. I can't wait to see what you end up doing.

I cant wait to see what happens either, right now I'm just gonna bank and get the 04 back together, Doing the cam and head swap right now,who knows after that I might put a for sale sign on her and bank even more. Paying Cash for a Cobra or something Belt fed would be sweet...
