I was woundering around on performacetrucks.net when i saw a GMC ad for the 2011 HD trucks and it said 6.2l duramax diesel i went to the web site it did not say the engine displavement on the web site just the ad bar. on the web site i got some number very impressive for the new duramax 397 h.p 765 lbs torque sweet. eny way there you go.

 

Everything I've read so far list the new diesel for 2011 for the HD's as being a 6.6-liter Durmax turbo diesel. The new engine can produce 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. The article from Detroit news says that they will release a HD 2500 Denali with the combination. It also said that Ford Motor Co. recently announced its all-new 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine, which produces 385 horsepower and 735 pound-feet of torque.

Apparently the ad was a typo, I saw a caption in a magazine talking about a GM ad that had the new duramax labeled as a 6.2.
