Default 2008 Service Tire Monitor System error message

I just bought a 2008 Silverado Crew Cab. Recently an error message in my dash has come up that says "Service Tire Monitor System". I've checked my tire pressure and everything seems to be good. Does anybody know what this error means and how to get rid of it?

The BCM is finding a fault in the Tire Pressure Monitor System. Did you swap on aftermarket wheels? If so, the TPMS is looking for the sensors that probably aren't there, or were damaged during the aftermarket wheel installation. If you're completely stock, then the BCM is detecting a fault, such as a bad sensor or TPMS module issue, that needs to be addressed. It will be covered under warranty and you should contact your local dealership.
