The BBK I have is 3 bolt to fit a 78mm intake opening....You need an adapter, poor solution, or just get a newer truck 87mm TB....There was a ported for sale here for $50 I think....And yes, it is worth it imho.....Have fun! I have lol....

If the X link was not 220$ I would try to use the 09 TB I have that came with the intake. But a 25$ adapter to run the 78 MM factory is cheap. The 80mm BBK would be 100$. We will see. I can port my stock 78, so may not use the BBK. At that point I would just spend the 120$ more for a X link, but then have to figure out how to run it to the intake pipe.

That would be interesting. Thought the X long corrected some variation in TPS values and what not that repinning would not fix. Would prove I'm wrong in my assumption. Lol

Pulled diagrams on nbs and nnbs trottle bodies..... The nbs have 2 low reference and two 5v references for the iac valves whereas the nnbs have one each, think what x link does is combines them to condense it down to 6 rather than 8 terminals....

so I have the 3/4 truck, and it's an 04

I did the newer NNBS/07-13 intake swap.
I used the Torque Rush adapter
I ran the truck/LS2/TBSS/LSA throttle body for a while, and then bought the 90mm LS3 TB.
There were zero idle or searging issues that you mentioned earlier

You can use the Flex fuel injectors (blue body color) or the LS3/LS9/LSA injectors with the height adapters.

The 4 bolt intake with the LS3 TB made a difference.

Matt, the LS3 TB was better than the truck 87mm TB? Didn't think it would matter? I'll Rick the 3 to 4 bolt till I can justify the newer TB swap. I really need to focus on building the shop but glad I will be able to turn the rpm up past 6000 with this thing. Should be shifting around 6700 after the new intake and E85 injectors even with the 78 with no problem.

I had issues with the 87 not going to 100% open on mine. It would hang around 92-91 for whatever reason. I found the LS3 TB on ebay for 110 shipped and got it.

The 87mm that I had came off of a TB SS.

Going from the 3bolt TB to the 4 bolt TB made a difference in power everywhere, especially up top.

Don't get a truck 87 and port it or one that has already been ported, just get the LS3 and enjoy it.

Yes it's worth it
