So after showing the shop that rebuilt the case the concern on a test drive they asked for the transfer case out as I dropped it off that way during my build, no problem. They then informed me very non-informatively no major issues and its ready for pickup in a few days, commenting on loctite used now and such and such. I didn't believe anything was done as I had a chain skipping noise, and no way was I installing it again to have the same problem.
I decided to get a GM rebuild at this point as they could have one in that day, Got a NP261 HD, increasing the rating considerably from my bastardized 261 with a 32 input installed so no should be no more issues now with the 261HD.
This new T case once I got it in this last weekend runs quieter and no exit shaft play making clunking noise when you tug up and down on the rear drive shaft. and the noise is gone under hard throttle.
I am assuming it was chain skipping, cant be sure if it was the shops rebuilds fault or bad parts. They made a deal of full refund if they get the case, so since it was full of metal I took that deal and lost my core.... lose lose I guess.
Anyways shes driving better than ever now! Pulls GOOD!

Update!
Not sure if I mentioned yet but she now has 3" SS Exhaust to the back. Got a Magnaflow kit from Y pipe back.
Had to modify from the muffler provided as the 18" SS it comes with was bad drone on the highway, also Nascar like sound on throttle. I installed Magnaflows largest Muffler a 22" with a small cut in the kit. Seems far better now and still sounds nice on throttle.
Next is I installed a Eaton true track as I got tired of excessive 1 wheel peel, and figured I would drive on pavement in 4x4 less / take some stress of the front 4x4 system with it installed.
Works great, did a 6 hour 4x4 trek up the west side of Harrison lake here a month or so ago and lots of traction, only needed 4x4 for the sketchy parts.
Ha-vent tried a short throw or a core one, I looked those up though seems nice, on the shifting topic seems like the gates are pretty shut if your in a rush above 6000 in this transmission, you need to give her a half second for rpms to drop.
Also as per Slick Sierras comment I know its a mild cam, I still wanted it to behave in the bottom end with plenty of pep, pretty happy with it, but some times I do wonder how hard it would pull in the top end with something more aggressive.
I hope to get out to the track and see what she runs this month or next.
Also Great shot from the East side of Harrison last weekend.
Cheers

Engine swap
How is it going? I have a 2005 silverado 4.3 vortec, lately its being giving me alot of problems it has 242,000 miles so its undestandable. And now I've been thinking about getting an engine swap i wanted a 5.3 or a 5.7. Would you by any chance know what i need for the swap and how much money would i need? Thanks
