Default 2006 HD bucking...

I'm not sure as to where this should be posted but I figured the general area is a good place to start.

I have an 06 HD with the 6.0/NV4500 combo and I'm concerned about a bucking issue I'm having with it. In the morning on my way to work, I get in the truck, let it sit and idle down for about a minute and then off I go. With 4:10 gears and that tranny, I need to shift pretty quickly so by the end of my road I'm already in 4th and the road isn't very long. Well, when I let off the gas in 4th, or 3rd it happens too, but when I let off the gas to coast to the stop sign, the truck jerks, bucks, whatever you wish to call it upon letting off of the accelerator. It's like 2 or 3 bucks then it smooths itself out. After the truck gets to temp, its a non issue. I do have a blackbear tune and I'm not sure if there is something in the tune that's affecting it or not. If I come to find that it is I'll contact Justin and he'll get me taken care of.

I know this is a different animal than most of you have but I'm stumped. No codes are present and yes I checked, not just saying the light isn't on.

Thanks in advance guys.

Similar things happen to me and my 4.8/6-spd combo. My truck started out as a 5-spd and I have the original tune in it still. I think it has something to do with some sort of engine parameters and not being up to temp. I am just super easy on it (as should be the case anyway) until it is up to temp, and all is well after that.

I was "thinking" it was more along the lines of the decel fuel cut off settings fawked up or out of adjustment, so to speak.

sounds more like a misfire...check all the wires to make sure they are fully seated

If a misfire from loose wires how would this resolve itself upon reaching operating temperature?

I can guarantee its not a misfire on my truck, but dunno about the OP. Our situations just sound similar, though mine is more on the acceleration side of things.

Also, from crude tests done via the skinny pedal when the truck is still relatively cold, my truck fights very hard to go above 1700-2000 or so before it has even the slightest bit of heat in it. I always thought it was weird, but it seems to be some sort of engine protection in it and I can't find it in the tables with EFILive. Not that I beat on my truck when it is cold, quite the opposite actually, but I've just discovered this from the years of driving it.

wont hurt me to check the wires. they are msd super conductor 8.5mm, not that it matters, but it wont hurt to check and make sure they are snug. not sure if its fixable without changing them.
