You held your mouth different ways in an attempt to make your door chime stop? I cannot believe that didnt work for you. I got my DRL's disabled by touching my toes, figure holding your mouth would work perfect for disabling the door chime.

 

Is there a wire in the back you can cut.... My parking brake sensor is out and it dings all the time....

What wire in the back of the radio controls that???

Sick of the door chime or seat belt chime, there is a fix. There is a plug under the drivers seat, just unplug it. Make sure you trace it to the seat belt if your truck has power seats or heated seats. I found a link about the door chime http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/in...&hl=chimes

I did mine and its all gone, the hardest part is getting the wire out of the plug. The wire can be released from the other side with a small nail, you will see a small brass color tab. Just hold it to the right side of the plug and it should just slide out. The guy is trying to release the wire from the wrong side of the plug in the pics. Just try it you will see.

 

or go after market stereo works too mine disappered when i put in my pioneer.
