hey guys i bought a chevy tahoe and i replaced the steering wheel coluumn and wiring with a used one from the salvage yard but know the truck wont start i was wondering if anyone knew what was going on and what i need to do to fix it

well ive had like 3 different so called reasons one(1) was a fuse or circuit burned, (2) second was that i needed to use the same switch (3) third was that i needed to go to GM to reset the the computer thanks for your answer though i really appreciate it but i put the whole column in complete with wiring and everything and it stilll no go.... would u happen to know how to reset the whole thing

Sounds like this...i had to do it when i put in my tuned pcm, these are the instructions that were included...
You need to reset the security code in VATS.
1. Turn the key on to start the engine, then release the key to the ON position.
2. The security light will flash for 10 minutes then go off.
3. Turn key OFF after security light has stopped flashing.
4. Leave the key off for 30 seconds or so. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for 2 more times for a total of 3 attempts. The vehicle should start on the 4th attempt. This procedure takes at least 30 minutes. The battery should be fully charged and deliver more than 10 volts.
