These look a little better now.

Still looking for an idea of which headers or exhaust to try on this thing. How about stock manifolds with 2.5 into 3" Y into 4" magnaflow?

Anyone have an idea of the offset and interchange on wheels with the trucks?

 

Would a nnbs/tbss manifold do this thing any good?

 

Got this sucker running finally. Went with .035 off the heads Comp XR265 hi lift cam with PRC .625 springs, lightly ported heads. Have about 700 miles on it in 5 days, runs nice and smooth but seems to have less power than before. Could this be solely due to the changes and still using the stock tune?

Blackbear autocal procured and will do the tune soon after 2 mods are done. Efans and CAI. Found nice fans that fit my application from a Buick Park Avenue and need to build harness. Efans will make room after (of course) relocating the battery to most likely use a modified CAI from a truck after changing the van MAF. My question is what is the better 5 wire MAF to source?

 

This autocal device is pissing me off, this is my first time doing any tuning and I have spent hours f'ng with this thing, cant get the base tune recorded because I can't get the right config file loaded to the tuner.keep getting error $0281 need LS1B on the read but It will not load. Blackbear wants to go back and fourth with emails but I don't want to play the 1 question and answer per week game. I am at frustration level 10 right now.

 

Most likely, that error means there is a difference in software from what he sent you the Tune in Vs. what is on your device.

Make sure you update both the V8 and the V7.5 software. Also go into the system settings and verify the boot block is up to date.

Really need a good truck 03 and up 5 wire MAF, this van unit is to small and won't work with the CAI, anybody want to part with one? I don't have enough posts to do a want to buy ad yet :-( so will post here instead.thanks
