intresting... seen all the other combo's includeing the 5.7 L31 but never the 5.3L...

Must be an odd combo.

I see a 5.3L file on tunefiledepot and it looks like it had the 4L60E in a 2500. So I guess it could be possible that it had 6 lugs in a 14 bolt.

That's crazy! A 4.3 though? That can't be fun.

No, but they did have them...

Vans had some weird combo's too. I pulled the 4L80e from a 2500 that had a 4.3L V6 in it.

I find the 6 lug extremely odd that's why I mentioned it. I'll get some pics of it up when I get back home from this business trip next week.
I think the diff may be a Dana? Pretty sure the existing trans is a4L80 but been awhile since I serviced it as it's been parked for a year and a half with the bad valves.
Thanks for the feedback so far guys. I value all the help. I do agree the custom cam route is best. As far as the size I'll rephrase a previous statement that I must run Cats.
It looks like I will need a TC and trans shift mods. I have had great luck with transgo in th past so will go with them and the servo, anything else needed at his level?

Nice Van TIMZ. Any idea on what long tubes might fit. Have you done any bolt ons?

Thanks ,

Yes guys it's very strange but there are some 2500 vans with 6lug wheels .

Reason I know is I was looking on every site and called a lot of parts stores and the 6 lug question came up as an option every time . Now as to the 5.3 I have no clue .

I think a set of long tubes wouldn't be to hard to fit or mod to work .

No bolt ons , just cat removal , and I replaced the intake gaskets .

My rear end is a 14 bolt Dana 70 , sounds like it would be better than the famed dana60 but there aren't a lot if any aftermarket parts like limited slips for it I've found . If any one knows I'd like to hear about them.

No, It's a bastard rear end. I looked into it with Julien and his Turbo Van.
