Default 2000 Escalade

I'm looking into buying a White 2000 Escalade for a daily driver. There are a few cosmetic issues like tint is screwed up, leaky turn signal housing, and a couple door dings. The kicker 105,000 Miles.

Would this be a poor investment, and what would somebody think a decent price to pay would be (this is at a dealer)?

I dont know if it is this year, but earlier ones with the tbi vortec 5.7 had some issues with fueling, and it was a pain to fix, but dont quote me on it.

I'm surprised nobody has any experience/knowledge with these. I figured that if I posted here I would find better technical information then an escalade forum where everybody is looking for the biggest rims

2000 has a 5.7 in it... a car in general is never a "Good" investment" but that esky IMO is a really really bad investment... just my $.02

you should have put the asking price on here. maybe a pic or 2. i wouldnt buy it . i saw get you a 2001 or newer TAHOE. they are great(wifey has one). and i always see real good deals on them too. but with that having a throttle body , then its a caddy . you will have to pawn you genitalia to keep it running.

Asking price is 12 which is right at blue book in my area.

And as far as a vehicle being a good investment, I know first hand they can be money pits.

What price / deals do you see on those? Here they all seem to be outrageously priced.

Anything has got to be better than 8 in town fwiw. And with the snow we get and how incapable the city is of plowing streets, I need a way to get to work.

Thanks for your sarcastic ignorant reply though.

Don't buy it.....just because it's Cadillac Escalade once worth $50k doesn't mean its a good car. Those things are money pits and they are the same thing as the tahoe in a lot of ways. The 01' tahoe spoke about in a reply has the better 5.3 liter motor, which will give you less hassle than the 5.7 Vortec. All the esky is is looks. I believe that the 2000 GMC Denali looked the exact same as the 2000 Esky (don't quote me on that), so you could always go with that if thats the look you like.
