1st too 2nd shift a big bog?

Default 1st too 2nd shift a big bog?

what could be make my truck do this?06 vmax it runs OK in 1st but when it shifts 2 2nd it falls on its face. but after in 2nd it seems 2 be ok.just on a wide open run.shifts fine just driving normal its fine.

That is all from the way the pcm is programmed.

Its the large rpm drop from the big ratio difference between the 1st and 2nd gear of the 4l60e trans. When teh trans shifts into 2nd, the engine is pulled down out of its powerband.

TM will be at work as well.

PCM tune and a higher stall speed torque converter will help.

Yup, torque management workin at it's best...custom tune'll take that away and wake it right up.

i just installed nelsons tune and still there.waiting on a call back from him 2 c whats going on.

There isnt much tqm in the 06 Vmax's to start with, No where near what my 05 L33 Z71 had in it. Just raise your shift points and quicken the shift.
