I DID do a search, and came up with nothing... am i crazy or did i hear somewhere that somebody makes a 15" rim to fit our trucks?? I looked everywhere but cant find ****... anyone got anything?

 

I'm sure a 15" American Racing or M/T wheel will work. Only on the rear though.

I think to get them to fit you have to grind down the body of the caliper a little.

 

I got some black steel one's from Jegs. I have drums on the rear though.

 

Cant remember who here did that with 15's. But they did have to take a nice amount of metal off the calipers for them to fit!

 

ok well nevermind then, i pay too much for this thing to grind parts of it. (besides the tires)

 

i run 15" stock ralley wheels from the 80s trucks. they are more of an offset so if you ahve flares it dont look bad but if you dont they do look like they stick out. if you do a search i have pics but at shop now so i cant post a pic

 

Sorry man, only the 05' & up trucks can use the 15's with no fitment issues due to the rear drum brakes.
I'm sure you get get a set of 16's and a good slick or drag radial to fit fine on that rim.
I assume that your looking for a pair of rims and tires for the track only.

yeah, and tire sizes are alot more flexible and abundant in a 15" than a 16". but i guess 16" will work... stock rims with 255/50R16 slicks should make it stick right??

 

I think there are a few out there that have a bit more meat to stick under your truck in 16's if you do a little more research.
Check out the Nitto 555r, or call Mickey Thompson for some of there new sizes available in an ET Street or an actual slick.
