Ethanol sucks if you ask me, I understand the desire to cut down on oil use, but I have a 95 Nissan Sentra that I drive back and forth to work, about 500 miles per week. Since I drive so much I fill it up every time I get gas, so I am constantly watching my gas mileage. When I use gas with ethanol, I get 28 to 30 MPG, when I use gas that does not have ethanol, I get 32 to 35 MPG. I know its not a huge difference but it adds up. I am sure this is not just my car; so if using gas with ethanol means worse gas mileage, it means we buy more gas, and the oil companies use less oil to make the gas because they are cutting it with ethanol means more money for the oil companies and another good f----ing for you and me. Exxon only made 11.6 Billion dollar profit in the last 3 months, I'm sure they need the money more than middle class America does. Sorry for the rant, I have been listening to talk radio!!

My Cavalier gets about 3-5 better running gas without ethanol in it.

Sure you will get a little better mileage without the ethanol, but is the $0.10/gal worth the offset in mileage? I haven't done the math just wondering. Not saying that ethanol is great or anything I just don't believe it's as bad as it is made out to be.

I've done the math on my truck, I could get 21 mpg round trip from work and back which was 60 miles a day. Now with 10%, 19mpg is all I can get without reconfiguring the tune. I need to retune with the new gas and see what happens. Then I'll do the calculations to figure it out.

However, in the current state, it wouldn't take long for me.

With the cavalier it saves me about $6 a tank using regular. For some reason i clalculate all the way down to how much per mile it costs me. I have a spread sheet i use.
