Onxy, You are soo right
My buddy ran a 8.30@157mph in his GN in Phoenix and everyone was stoked. I thought it was no big deal till I looked up DA type info. LOL
Goshawk23,
NP bud. Here in Sac even with our near sea level track we can have swings off -1000DA and +2000DA. All depends on the time of year
For anyone wanting to find this info out on there own here ya go:
Weather info. As long as you know the date and time for your city it's easy to find all the pertinant info if you do a lil searching. May take a sec to figure out how to use the site but very easy after that.
You will need: Altitude (city or track), Temp, Altimeter in inches HG, Dew Point in Degress Farenheit.
http://www.weatherunderground.com/
Input all that info at this site. Click Calc and it tells you your Density Altitude below.
http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm
If you want to use NHRA correciton factors or any other cool automotive calculators go here.

There is a site somewhere which you can do all this in one plce but I have not seen it, just heard of it. If you want any trouble with getting this to work feel free to ask. I'd like more racers to know how to use this because there will be less people unhappy because of verhicle performance after an upgrade OR someone claiming to have made tons more power because they ran faster at the strip when in reality it was the weather that made the HP
