Just seen a 07' Tahoe at Munday Chevrolet today. They just recieved 2 of them.
They look really good. Interior & Exterior is very different and very nice.
No specs out on the Tahoe's as of yet. The service guys were all around it. GM did not send them with window stickers or manuals yet.
From what I noticed it has a displacement on demand 5.3L, tranny unknown, lower aluminum control arms with coil over shocks in front. The rear set-up looks a bit the same in the suspension department (solid rear axle, 4-link, coil springs with load levelling suspension). It even had a camera that activates when vehicle is placed into reverse.
Also had a power rear door and remote start.
Did I mention I loved the dash! It's different and very nice.
I was also told the new Silverado will look very similiar to the new features and changes of the new Tahoe.
I may be traded in sooner that expected! Nah, I'll have to wait until the 2nd year of a SS 6.0L displacement on demand engine is offered.
Then I'll upgrade.
Wish I had pics of the 07' Tahoe to show you guys! I'm sure they are on the net though.

Pretty sweet, Munday has them? I will check them out on the way home. Is that just a reskin or new platform. Hey "Element 80" I am also from Angleton!

 

It's possibly a reskin, but looks like they changed quite a bit.
It looks a lot better in person than the photo above. The photo makes everything look smaller.
Only dealer executives are driving them right now.
I doubt it's a different frame. That will not happen until later probably.
I think the Silverado is on its last reskin though. The 07's will probably be a different platform, but who knows.
Just hoping for the best.

When did you live there? LOL! I probably wouldn't know you anyways, I've been here for 8 years and only know like 12 people. Mostly people at Firestone and such. HAHA! I spend all my time working or in Houston.

 

Here are engine specs 320hp 340tq and yes the transmisson is still the m30 4l60e.


How you like that front end?
The extra hp and torque will be noticed but it weights 500more pounds meaning with a 200 pound driver it will run an estimate of 16.2+ 1/4 as 06- could run the same.

I personaly think the redesigned '06 Silverado front end looks much better then this new tahoe...

 

I like em. The "cowls" on either side of the hood are for the dual Radix supercharger to fit. I special ordered that feature

 

You be roling on 22s and not even notice with them superchargers with them blue pulleys.
