07 radio install

do i need the expensive radio harness with onstar even though i do not have it hooked up, what wont work if i use the cheap harness

If you are not concerned with annoying key in ignition buzzer headlamp buzzer of turn signal audible noise then just run a wire to switched ignition and you are done it will work perfectly.
