Havent had a problem with mine, but since I installed / hardlined my iPod to the stock deck I havent used it.

Cd's is going the way of the 8 track. Pretty soon, all they'll be used for is coasters and or spicing up the interior of your 86 Sedan DeVille on 13 inch triple gold ones by hanging it from your rearview mirror.

And theres always the reflective quality so they're good for taping to your shoe when around women with skirts.

What is the "problem" that you are having with the cd? Power? Wont recognize CD?

What seems to go wrong with the cdplayers?

I had an incident last night with mine too. I unplugged the ground battery cable cus I was installing some diodes on the fuse box to run the hi beams and low beams and fogs all at the same time, but when I replugged the ground battery cable and went for a cruise, the cds would not play. WTF?? It would only play the first song for about 3 secounds and spit the cd out. It did this several times then I decided to reprogram the clock and then it started working find again. phew

btw, mines an 03' model but I believe its the same deck.

The CD player in my mom's 03 Tahoe does the same thing every once in a while. It starts playing a song then spits the cd out. After a while it works just fine.

This is such a great forum, I just recently joined. Anyways to your question.

Actually I just had my Truck in the shop for the same problem. The service guy said that it was an internal problem and they had to send it off. It only took a day to get it back. It works fine now. Luckily it was under warranty.
