Default 02 5.3 to LS2 swap

Who has done this? What parts are needed? I want to keep it as basic and cheap as possible. I'm thinking just swap the long blocks out and go but I'm sure their are a few things Im over looking. Any help or links would be appreciated.

I thought about the LS2-LS6 swap, then realized that a LQ4/LQ9 would be way easier to do, swap motors, tune in, done.

I think with the LS-1 or such it's a little more in depth with the electronics.

The only difference with electronics is the knock sensors are in a different spot. All need to do is extend the knock sensor harness. Everything else should bolt right up.

And you need to extend the cam sensor to the front timing cover... And you need to make sure you get the early 24X crank trigger LS2s versus the newer 58X crank trigger or else you are in for another headache. The 24X model had a very limited run....

The first guy was right, LQ4 and LQ9 swaps are much easier. To make an "iron LS2," get an LQ9 shortblock and put 243/799 heads on it.

Like they said, assuming the LS2 already has front cover and valley cover on it, it's just a few simple wiring extensions and done (also assuming the LS2 was an early model with the 24X crank reluctor).

I have an 05 GTO LS2, besides the wiring extensions, oil pan, what else will need to be done to swap to a 00 RCSB? Mainly concerning the accessories, fly by wire throttle body and PCM?
Would I have to use the 5.3 accessories? Will these interfere with the LS2 intake?
I have a complete GTO to use for parts.
