That was the first option I tried, also they do not ship inside of California, albeit there are IN California and only a couple hours drive from where I live nor will they sell directly out of the shop. Not to mention the kits are backordered until next year.

But thanks anyway 👍🏻

That sucks!
You don't have any friends or relatives across the border living inside the United States where you could set up a straw purchase?

Yes I have friends everywhere that could help me out, I'll use that option later if I need to though I don't feel that enthused paying for shipping twice.

California used to be the mecca of hotrodding!
How did you guys let this happen where you can't even buy hotrod parts now?

It's not an issue as long as the company puts a disclaimer "off-road/track use only" but I guess speed-engineering forgot about that part. There's a huge sport truck scene in southern California that they're missing out on.

Thanks for the info didn't know that about the disclaimer.

Down here in SC we don't even have state safety inspections. Cops can write you up for violations like cracked windshields slick tires etc. No emission stuff either but technically you "may" have to submit to random hwy sniff tests... I've never seen one nor heard of anyone being subject to a roadside emission inspection. Probably just on the books if the state chooses to implement.

Here in CA anything older than '75 is subject to smog check every other year or later depending on type of vehicle and age, they include a safety inspection that checks signals and indicators, tires, etc. The police can pull vehicles over for excessive noise that weigh less than 6,000 pounds. My truck is loud af and I drive by the local sheriff's almost daily but they've never even looked in my direction, probably cuz it's not a Civic with a fart can lol
