As the title says Im looking for a cam that has a nice choppy idle for a 5.3. Obviously Im not only interested in sound I also want something that will give me a very noticeable gain....the more the better of course. Tell me what you got and recommended supporting mods. Thanks

 

I've got a 218/218 lingenfelter cam that idles pretty nasty if you're interested...

 

I have used comp cam xr275hr for sale (about 1k on it) its a 222/224 .555/.568 112LSA. This will give a good lope at idle.

Do you have a blower on your truck as pictured in your sig? If so, chop will kill your power potential with blow by.

there is no replacement for displacement... and having a blower or twins on a big motor is even better!!

 

A cam with over lap will not kiil power at the levels most are at it will gain power. FYI. GL!
