Hey I notice you have a Ls9 Cam in a 5.3. You boosted? I have the cam by was talked out of putting it in my truck. It’s a 08 5.3 243 heads stock but turboing it and was wondering if I should run that cam or not?

He's NA. Not boosted. I made 477 with an LS9 cam and 12psi, I ran like a 17.00 1/4 because the damn thing couldnt get out of its own way until ~25mph. Talking like 2.5 60' I bet.
Its not a good truck cam, at all. Its great for an LS swapped fox body on a 76mm or with a TVS, but beyond that its a pretty sorry truck cam.

Because you lose 60+ lb/ft of torque off idle with it. Because its a heavy *** truck with a small displacement motor. Because the cam is cut to make power from 3700-6800rpm. Because the cam is intended for square port heads that need a lot of exhaust duration, but not much intake duration. Because better options exist. Because he is currently NA and will regret the LS9 choice.
