Default Transmission?

Does anyone have a 4l60e or 4l80e for sale that can handle 500-600 hp and similar torque? Truck (1999 silverado 2wd) has a moderate 6.0 that will be a daily driver. Im looking for $600 or less for the price at this stage of the truck. Pm if you do; thanks lots.

if it's 2wd it's pretty cheap if you can fab the crossmember yourself. The only major cost associated with the swap is about $80 for a neapco yoke and precision u joint. The biggest thing is to get the transmission complete from the junkyard with all electronics. A 90s 4l80e can always be used to keep the cost down.

Okay. I can def fab a crossmember. Where would I get the yoke and u-joint and by that I mean are they specialty parts or just auto store stuff? It is 2wd and single cab. I think that I can get the ecu reprogrammed for little to nothing. Any further help on the swap idea or locating a lower mileage trans is always appreciated.

check around craigslist, that's where I see the best prices. Also, car-part.com. I got a complete 2005 4l80e for $650...I'm talking converter, trans dipstick, all electronics, dust cover, trans mount. Getting the trans complete is key because the cost can add up fast if you have to get all those other parts individually. The neapco yoke I can't find my paperwork here, but do a search for neapco yoke and you'll find the part #. It's about $70 and can be had on ebay. The precision u joint should be had at any parts store i would think.
