Default Stock 5.3 for sale.

I have a stock 5.3 engine that came out of my 07 NNBS GMC crew cab. Had 87k miles when pulled. No accessories. Bare engine with the exception of the stock heads. No valve covers, no oil pan. $500.00 I will try and get a picture tomorrow. I'm located outside of Baton Rouge, La.

Somebody should buy this up. The heads alone could bring $400. Have you thought about parting it out?

Rather not part it out. But thanks for positive post. I think its a good deal also. I'm cleaning out my shop this weekend and I'm trying to make room.

Can you tell me if this will work in an 04? If not what changes will be needed?

It will work fine in the 04. If I'm not mistaken, the only difference between them are the floating style rods and flat top pistons . Externally its identical. If you're doing a swap, you have all the other stuff you need on your current motor.

Oh, wait, the relucter wheel is different. You can get an adapter to make it work from thunder racing.
The knock sensors are in a different location too so you'ld have to adapt for that. Sorry I told you wrong. It can be done but its not a plug and play deal. I think it is probably worth the effort, though.
My bad. I got confused.
