PI 3 disk 4l80E converter (look inside for details)
#1
I have a 3 disk 9.5 PI converter with 3k miles that was in my 03 4l80e (in my 02 scsb) the stall speed is 3800 and was working fine when I pulled it. There is no warranty on the converter as it is over 2 years old (truck sat up a long time due to other interest) The only concern is the fluid coming out of the tranny had a metallic look to it so the converter may need to be flushed. The tranny was working fine and there was no metal in the pan just a metallic look to the fluid and black residue on the bottom of the pan. I am installing a new tranny and I am going a different route on the converter. There is a little surface rust on the converter but all is well. I will have pics up later today to show surface rust, I am asking 300 + shipping and PayPal fees the converter sells new for 979 + shipping through thunder racing or most other dealers. Vicky at PI said they can tear it down clean it and restall it for 225, so for about half the price of a new one you can get this converter and get it where you want it. It would be fine to use as is if you can get it flushed (most recommend tearing it apart to clean it, but I have heard of some being able to hook it to a machine to flush it). The converter is located in orange TX if you would like local pick up or just to check it out.

If it was working fine I wouldn't think twice about running it. I would however suggest the buyer to clean it, I recommend purchasing a few gallons of diesel.
Slowly fill the converter (half way works) slosh the diesel around for around 30 seconds and dump it.
Repeat process until just diesel comes out, you'll know when its clean
The diesel will keep things nice and lubricated once dumped.
I clean all of mine this way and never ran into an issue.
Bump for a hell of a deal!

Im not sure how that would work, I would rather ship it to you to ensure you get it, just to avoid any problems. If you would like it shipped to you I can do that but if you want it shipped to PI then you I will consider if it does not sell to someone else.

and $300
