Default Got BOOST? STS turbo kit

So I bought this last week and was all excited to put it in my truck, but I decided to go a different route with my truck.

So basically time to put together a savings fund for a new maggie or h/c, and although a turbo and supercharged truck would be neat, its kinda wasteful and this kit can be put to better use.

Basically, here's everything I know about the kit. It's a used kit that came off of an '07 tbss that ran it for 1.5 years, its a complete kit in good shape minus the wiring harness that came with it originally (you can buy a new one from STS), and is in excellent shape. I looked through all the tubing today and its all in great shape, the turbo is clean and has no shaft play, and all the original tubing, connectors, pump, intercooler, filter, etc are all there and in great condition. You'll need better injectors for higher boost amounts and there's no instruction manual if you are going the DIY route.

I can take more pictures if you want, but this is basically the jist of everything that is there:

As far as pricing goes, make me a fair offer. I'll trade full or partial (hell I can kick cash your way if your stuff is more valuable) for parts too if you've got anything worthwhile you want to offer.

As far as shipping goes, its a huge 98lb box, and I'll eat the shipping cost (in the continental US) just to get this moving sooner, so consider that in your offers / don't PM me asking for shipping rates.

PM me, email me at SNaray8442@gmail.com, or call me Balu at (914) 473 4982. It's a legitimate STS kit in its entirety and I'd install it on my truck if I didn't want to go another direction with it.

No idea, I've never looked into those trucks. I guess maybe call up an installer?

Yeah, and per rules - aren't you supposed to have at least 50 posts and/or be a member for at least 6 months to list something in the classifieds? This guy just joined on 6/12, and his first post was here in the classified section and it is for a high dollar item.

To the seller - do you have anyone who can vouch for you, either on this forum or another related forum (ls1tech, gmfullsize, gm-trucks, fullsizechevy, ls1truck, etc)? We've had a few people get ripped off here in this forum lately, and I've seen it in a couple of other forums too, and that's one of the reasons why there is a rule about having an established reputation before being allowed to post items for sale.

And to anyone considering sending this guy money - doesn't this ad seem a little fishy? Let's consider the facts:

1. He just joined this forum 2 days ago and this is his first post, and it is for a high dollar item. That should be enough right there to pass on the deal. But if not, proceed to #2.
2. In the initial post he just asks for offers or even a trade straight up for other parts - "make me a fair offer. I'll trade full or partial" (not even specifying which parts he needs/wants). If he's offering to trade his turbo kit for other parts, specifically because he has "decided to go another route with the truck" , don't you think he would at least list some specific parts that he's looking for?
3. He claims that he just bought the kit last week, so he obviously knows how much he paid for it. But when someone asked what he's asking for it, he says "I dunno? $2,500?" as if he has no idea how much it's worth.
4. He's offering free shipping on 98 lb box?? Nobody in their right mind would offer that, because it's going to cost an arm & a leg to ship a 98lb box.
5. If you still don't smell , check this out. The phone number he listed is a 914 area code, which is New York. But in post #5 he says he is located in Austin. I suppose it's possible that he just has a NY cell phone and he's living in TX, but wait there's more. In another post where RandomHero (who is in Lawton, OK) talked about doing an e-fan installation on somebody's truck, this guy claimed that it was his truck. Austin, TX is about 400 miles from Lawton, OK, and I doubt he drove that far to get an e-fan installation done. And I also noticed that the pics he is using are hosted on a site called "SAWAuto.com" which is a performance shop in Dallas, TX. Now, I suppose it's possible that he just has a NY cell phone, but he's living in Austin TX and he drove to Latwon, OK to have an e-fan installation done, and he is somehow affiliated with a performance shop in Dallas who graciously agreed to host the pics for the turbo kit that he's selling.

I'm not trying to act as a moderator here, I'm just trying to save someone from possibly getting ripped off. If I'm wrong, then so be it, but I'd suggest that everyone err on the side of caution on this one until this guy is somehow verified or vouched for.
