198/207 .500/.500 115.5LSA
I bought this for my truck, but decided not to install since Im gonna go with a custom grind to give me a lil more low end..
I would expect a good solid 15-20hp from this cam... Wouldnt require any idle tuning or anything.. just slap in and go. I would assume you would see more of a gain by raising the shift points to help make more power form this lil cam
65bucks plus shipping since thats what I paid for the cam... perfect fbody cam for the truck guys looking for one.. all the other fbody cams are 116-118LSA
For some reason the 00 vettes had 115LSA

i'm calling dibs, if i like the answers to my questions........:
how many miles on it?
would it be a waste of my time, honeslty? i want a lumpy idle, and good torque.
how much does it take to install one, like... say in the future i want more.......

mileage i do not know.. i bought this used from a guy. I wanna say about 3k miles on this cam from what the fromer owner told me.
This is more of a stock idle cam.. if you listen, you can hear a lil different sound on free flowing exhaust(this is going by one of my friends truck that has a LS1 cam in it).
As far as wasting your time.. i dont wanna say no you wont, but then you install and want more.. everyone's different
i know my friends truck felt like it drove and responded better with the ls1 cam in there. As far as installing.. you have to remove the radiator, valve springs/rockers, pushrods, water pump, and timing cover.. its a few write ups on what to do. The worse part is the springs since its time consuming
hope this helps a lil
if you are able to raise your shift points about 300-500rpms higher, then you should notice this cams in there

I think i'll pass, i don't wanna question if it's in there or not. and if the power's high end, that's not where i'm really concerned, ( well, i am, but not as much as the lower end i guess) I don't wanna do the job twice, so i'm gonna probably go for a pavement pounder, probably a vinci. .551 at least.

im trying to get that GP from him going
thats why im selling mine.. this cam would be great for the daily driver that just wants a lil more top end/midrange power.. stealth cam
anyone thinking about a LS1 cam swap, get this one.. it has about .35 more and a lil lower LSA then the plain ls1 cams
