We've just acquired a 5.3l engine out of a 2002 Chevy truck and we are gauging interest on it.

The engine is complete minus throttlebody and oil pan. The coil packs, plug wires, valve covers, intake, front cover, pulley etc.. are still on it.

Anyone need a good engine?

 

most guys here when they need an engine they upgrade to the 6.0. I am sure their would be some takers if the price was right. put in the classified, but you have to put a price forum rules.

 

I mean the classifieds at the bottom of the forum.

 

mileage? knocking? price?

 

Price? Very interested because I need this 4.8L out of my truck.

 

I sold my 5.3 with 14k for 800, couldn't sell it for a dime more. No one wants them.

 

This is a complete engine with 10K miles.

Only missing t-body and oil pan. The intake and coil packs or accessory fan have never been off of it.

 

does it/did it knock? and how much are you asking?

The person I got it from told me it didn't knock. I can't give you a guarantee based on what he told me.

What knock are you talking about a bad bearing knock or rod knock?

Or are you talking about the ever so popular GM "cold start knock" that these trucks come with?
