Other parts are still currently on truck, and just trying to wait and see exactly what I'm going to do. If I do wind up getting rid of it, I will certainly part it out at least most of the way. Really trying to wait and see what all is going to happen with the oil and gas prices and the wierdness going on lately.

Gears and install kit are both Yukon Brand. Bought them from Randy's Ring & Pinion. Decided on them over the OEM's because they said they were stronger then the OEM's and almost as quiet. I have never been led wrong by Randy's so I figured what the heck. Plus, they were about 80 bucks cheaper.

I'm sure I will eventually, just trying to look ahead and see if will even be beneficial to buy what I'm looking at or not. With all the gasoline crap going on, may none of us be driving soon.

Well, the way I understand it is that some years had the 8.5 and some the 8.6. Either way the Eaton is the one required for the half ton trucks and so is the ring gear set. I cross checked everything to make sure what I was buying would work.
