Default Anyone got these laying around?

My crappy mechanical fan's clutch is going bad, and it took out the AC compressor on my SSS. The stealership wants $1700 and change to fix it, with another mechanical fan. That is just a big pile of . Criminals.

So, I am coming to you guys, hoping that someone has a funtional AC compressor for an 03 6L. I know I can get one for somewhere between 3 and 500, but I am hoping that someone has one that is taking up space. If you have one, throw a $ out.

Also, because the fan clutch is going, I will be putting Efans in. What are the chances someone has a set that they don't need. (Wishful thinking). What are my options with the Efan setup? I know a junkyard, and the for sales here and ls1tech, but what about Flexlite? do they make a direct kit, or is it still a custom job?

OK, the short list...
Efans
AC Compressor
(if someone knows if all the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 compressors are interchangable, please chime in)

thanks guys, I know someone will come through for me.

The compressors should all be the same. If nobody on here has one, try car-part.com. Also, shoot a PM to Mater. He runs a late model GM scrap yard.

Thanks man, but I am definately going Efans. If time was a factor, I would be all over it. Luckily I am going azay for a month, which gives me time to find them.

They fit your radiator? I have a 34". I don't know if thats standard on all trucks, but it seems a bit big for an alero.

Hmm, My sister-in-law has an Alero, think she'll notice?

You could go with 2 16 inch flex lights from autozone, I have 2 14inch on my truck but I only run 1 and it does the job. I think mine were 25-30 bucks a peice.

See, thats EXACTLY what I was talking about. Taking 2 single universal fans, bolting them together, and wiring one to the TSTAT, and the other to the AC. Is there room for two 2 16" fans on a 34" radiator? Mathematically, its possible, but I am thinking more along the lines of mounting them.

Keep the input coming guys. Thanks.

Thats what I did on my s10 Blazer. slightly smaller fans but 650cfm each.

you might try radiatorbarn I got my 4.3 radiator from them for 150 a few years ago. they also have efans and condensors

Edit: had to look for an '03 silverado. have one for 188 on radiatorbarn. fans for a malibu for 177. but I don't know how malibu fans would fit.
