Default 5.3 and 4.8 cores for sale

#1) 5.3L from a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. 185k miles pulled out running but it was eating oil and I also believe it had a blown head gasket. There are visible water marks on the front of the head that leads me to suspect that it was a blown head gasket. There is no water in the oil. It ran fine before I pulled it out and swapped to a newer 5.3L in my Tahoe. --SOLD!!!!

#2) 4.8L from a 2003 sierra rcsb. 120k miles also pulled it out running. This one lost compression on cylinder number 7. I am not sure what it was. I didn't take my time to check. I pulled it out and swapped in a 5.3L. $125 picked up for the complete long block.
Call or text if interested. 817-888-4657

Does the '01 5.3 fit into a '05 truck that has a 5.3? What are the differences, if any? I am interested in it.

Thanks

Chad

Only diff. I think would be the 01 has manual fans and the 01 I think is drive by wire throttle body vs. The 05 has electric fans and electrics throttle body

Cool, I can use my intake with fly by wire and swap out components as necessary to fit. Just as long as it bolts up I'm good.
Thanks!
