Default 1999 6.0l lq4 ls1 - $300

Sold

This was taken from a 1999 Silverado. It was running fine with 203k on it. Had good oil pressure, no noises was swapped for a lower mileage engine. I bought it to put it in my 78 Datsun but have since decided to keep the engine thats in the Datsun as it runs so well.

The is a 1999 6.0L LS1. That means it has the iron 317 heads. It is an LQ4. It has a .400" longer crank to make to the 4l80e or any SBC/BBC transmission without a spacer. It will not fit LS1 4l60es or T56s. The crank can be swapped if necessary, its the same exact block as the other year LQ9s and LQ4, just a pre-spaced crank. The block alone is worth what im asking as a core.

The engine had an intake until the day i bought it which was about 3 or 4 months ago and it has since sat on my porch on an engine stand upside down so no water would get into the engine although it is on a covered porch. Its from northern NY hence the rust

The engine includes the oil pan, oil pump, all the covers, exhaust manifolds, water pump, a couple coils, most sensors.

I will not ship it. I take Paypal or cash $300 firm. I am not looking for any trades unless its for an 8' silverado bed.

You might be a redneck, if you have an engine on your front porch.

Sorry, couldnt resist. Good luck with the sale.

Well i took the heads off tonight to check the cylinders. I guess i didnt take into account that water could get in from the exhaust manifold with it upside down even under a porch

Here are the pictures of the cylinders starting from the driver side back to front then from the passenger side back to front. The driver side back cylinder has the tiniest bit of rust on the cylinder wall but nothing i would worry about but the passenger side back got some water on it.
