Default zero oil pressure.......****

the gauge does not move when i first start it up. shows normal numbers after a few minutes. dont hear any bad noises, no drips, etc. going to test pressure tomorrow @ the oil filter connection. hopefully just a sending unit. anyone experienced this?

Did it do it just suddenly or was this after a cam swap? Were there any kind of symptoms before it occured?

Did check against EFLIve or Hptuner to see if it shows any pressure?? If show 0 on the software than it the sending unit.

was out on a cruise for most of the day...beat on it, but no more than i always do. pulled into the gas station to fill before putting her away and when i started back up...gauge at 0 and the low pressure waning on the DIC.

only change in the past week was swapping my vette TAC/pigtail for an x-link. already had the 90mm. cam has been in for 6 months. i am gonna plug in with a TECH2 tomorrow and also a manual pressure gauge that spins on where the oil filter mounts. i am hoping its the sender.....but how the gauge shows pressure after a mile or so is strange.

maybe the oil pump is being stubborn, maybe a bearing, maybe a sender. damn senders are a pain in the *** to get to, especially with the radix...well, easier than a new bottom end. or maybe an excuse to go 402?

Well there's not really a ton of stuff that can go wrong inside an oil pump. I had the pickup tube o-ring go bad(A nightmare for Cody and Me).

Possible things it could be:
O-ring on oil pump(most likely)
oil pump bad
sender bad
Cam bearing bad

I'll think of more theories if they should arise in my head.

I had the same kind of thing happen. Turns out a tiny piece of debris got stuck in the pressure relief valve and hung it open. Replaced the pump and all fixed. Don't run your engine for more than a few seconds at a time until you figure out what the problem is.
