Default Your thoughts on this set up please

What are your thoughts on this set up?
I have an '04 LQ9 and putting 799 heads which I believe should bring the Comp up to 10.9:1. Gonna run the stock truck intake, fuel rail, and injectors. It will have CAI and has long tubes with 1 3/4 primaries to 3" collectors with full 3" exhaust with probably 2 chamber Flowmasters, no cats. Should I have an "H" pipe put in? I am looking at either the Texas Speed 228R or TorquerV2 cams. I'm also still open to other suggestions. It will have a 4l80 behind it. This is going in an '86 C-10 step side which weighs roughly 3800lbs with 3.73 gears. It's not going to be a DD but will be driven a lot. I want the power more down low than on the top end. I have no plans for turbos or spray. Which cam would you go with and why and roughly what kind of rwhp should I except with this setup? Any and all critiques or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Neither of those will be stellar for low end power. The C10 is light, but they arent small cams either. For the weight its not too much cam, but they wont be grunty.

What converter will you have?

I would look at slightly less duration than that. Depending on the converter something like a 224/228 112+2 would work well. I would look to it being a 6400 RPM shifting cam and with the compression it will be peppy down low in a truck that weighs less than 4k. it will have a decent idle too. Definitely lopey, but not out of control.

I was thinking that once I picked a cam, I could pick the converter to match he cam.

You can do that. Lets talk more about how you cant the cam to drive, shift points... things like that. What do you want out of this truck?

What I'm looking for is just a fun "weekend" street cruiser. I'm sure it will go to the track a few times at first, but I'm not wanting a race only truck. Something that's quick off the line or from a roll.
