Hey lance have you heard of the company called TPIS that converts your LS6 intake manifold to accept a 90mm throttle body? You should be a test dummy for that intake haha. Lingenfelter did a dyno on it and got some solid gains. Tpis also claims gains ofcorse haha.

you should really do some reading. Theres a sticky somewhere with charts and graphs and flow numbers from WCCH on SEVRAL different stock manifolds, I do believe the 90mm SSR/TBSS intake was in there too

Where have you been... seriously... this guy never posts up anything without taking it to the track and making sure everything is straight and its a fair comparison.... he hasnt gotten where he is without LOTS of comparison and trial & error

i agree Stewy. it's a half and half ordeal so it seems.

my tuner and i have been recently talking about this very subject. he's kinda been looking around here on the truck side and
he's noticed the big gray area about intakes and trucks. once he get's his dyno setup, he'll most likely be using his truck and MGMC's old 6.0 w/ stock 243's to be the guinee pig so he can test all the different intakes. we're thinking with more radical setups it would be wise to upgrade the intake. think of the engine as an air pump.

ok where does the definition of radical begin? 408 or turbo applications? i had the heads and cam LS1 before i put on the ls6 and lost time. you have a stock head 5.3 and put down better times. both on single pattern cams. it would seem like my setup would have gained more.

I got a complete (intake, DBW TB, fuel rails, injectors, etc) NNBS truck 90mm intake i would donate to the testing cause, but I want it back. I won't be installing it for a month or so... Hit me up if your interested.

jump on it lance! i would do it if i were DBW. i would have to spend 400 on a throttle body for the test or i would do it. i would make a donation to the dyno funds too. im sure others would if we could get a LS6 ve NNBS 90mm setup same day on the same dyno.

Only draw back is that the fuel rails are for a returnless style, i believe lance is return style...
