the advantages for us genIII engines is they like better lift, in the older SBC you see .4xx for decent lift but essnetially the higher lift, the more power but if you try to go too big lift you end up maxing out your heads for example, a .600 cam vs a .632 lift cam, even though the latter has a higher lift, your heads max flow may be at .599 therefore, anything beyond that is over kill. a stock Z06 cam has .550 lift. you can easily run higher than that especially with your choice in springs. higher lift wont rob you your low end like higher duration either

i bought the cooler about 2 months ago and i was planing on puting a 3200 verter in there but i turned away from that because i dont have the money to get a 80e and the 14 bolt rear end to handle all the power and with the 35" tires!!!

i would buy it from you.... depending on your price of course and what fittings it needed but what power are you talkin about, lookin at your sig, you should be able to hold up with out having to upgrade your rear end and to an 80. unless im missing something of course

This is a small cam but it makes up for it's size with performance. And is about as big as you should go with a stock style converter.

i would just asume to keep it considering i will be getting the 14 bolt and 80e probably sometime in the next year or two....my dads company just has to sell the truck that my dad drives and ill have it and a 6.0L (the trucks is a silverado 2500) ....10 bolts arent the strongest once you put 35" tires on her and more hp and tq...

It's a good performing cam and you don't always have to have a lot of lift. The cam in my car is only .549" lift and it put down over 400 hp to the wheels.

there really isnt any reason to go with higher lift than the lift at peak flow in your heads but more lift rarely hurts until you get into the .6xx
