just checked my fluid this morning cold. I started it up and let it idle and it showed a little more than the hot "cross-hatch" mark. Shouldn't it be on the cold? Last night when I checked it, it showed about 1/2 inch more than the hot cross-hatch. Could it be too much fluid? Someone told me that too much fluid could smother fluid system or something like that.

Does this help any? I also read a post about some people changing their servo when they install stalls. Is that my problem?

By the way the thing about 2nd gear going out, my truck slips from 4500-6000 in 1-2 shift and 2-3 at WOT so I doubt it's that. I have never had ANY slippage before the yank.

Thanks guys.Please reply.

I had no issues at all with my Yank install. The fact that you and Silent1 both had the same problems makes it interesting. Maybe you should drain a couple quarts out, then slowly add it back until it gets to the proper level.

I've checked my trans fluid numerous times and it has been perfect. I know the converter is full, I added fluid several times a day for a week before the install was complete. My truck was down for a week when I did the cam swap along with it and a bunch of things kept going wrong, incomplete gasket sets, bolt sets, etc. My 1-2 shifts aren't nearly as bad as my 2-3 shifts. Actually, I notice the problem more after the trans warms up. I then re-check the fluid level and it's perfect again.

Have any of you modified your MAF sensors at all?

Just curious because me T/A had a similar problem and it was due to mu ported MAF.

Also, does it do it with the gear selector in D and in 3rd?

Have you tried removing the power tuning all together on the HPP3?

Funny you mention it, I'm running a descreened MAF. I have a stock when sitting in my tool box drawer-I guess it's worth a shot but, I'm still skeptical about this.
