Break in?? i hope not, fill up the tranny find a nice stretch of road and floor it. i just got mine in 2 weeks ago and it is as cool as everyone said it would be. be prepared to dump in alot of oil, mine took something like 6quarts to fill back up.

as far as side effects, the truck will roll backwards on any significant hill. i now know what they all were talking about when they said looseness, i can feel the looseness but it doesn't bother me much, real easy to get used to.

Fill er' up and let the tires smoke <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Just make sure the fluid level is good...other than that their really isn't a break in so-to-say.

Well, you've probably got the converter in the truck already, but make sure to fill up the converter with fluid first and then install it. I hear it is bad to run it dry for the short while it takes to get fluid back into the converter??? I guess no one else has had problems though. Have fun with the new toy!

If you needed a break-in period for the converter, then Yank would've included one in the box. The converters with more agressive clutches, such as those in the PT4400's, need a solid 150 miles of break-in before cutting loose with them. It was the hardest 150 miles of my life!
Let us know how it works w/ the s/c. It ought to make a night and day difference!

i tried to fill the converter before instaling but could only get about 1/2 quart in there, i thought that might be enuff untill later when i went to top off the tranny and found out it needed another 5quarts or so.

Well After a alittle while sittin in the bed of the truck the Yank 3000 is in ..
Let me say that it is a new animal the Yank now changes things alot
the truck launches much nicer now and a lot harder. Now i'm in need of some shifting improvements waiting for LS1 edit to come out
The only downfall is that the blow off goes off when gettin up to speed in normal crusin. It's kinda loud when it goes also hear the charger pumpin air in like mad hehe.
How much did everyones fuel economy suffer with the yank ?

call me crazy but i droped in the yank and a 6.0 and haven't noticed any diference in miliage, i think with the yank locking up and having 373 gears unlike most of the 3/4 tons 4.10 will keep my miliage good.
