Default Yank 2800 vs. Yank 3000

I was serching the web and found some dyno runs with a YANK TRUCK THRUSTER 2800 and a YANK TRUCK THRUSTER 3000, but couldn't deside on which was best. Which do you guys think is a better converter? Which would you recomend using?
Oh and does the gear ratio have anything to do with how the converter works. My truck has a factory limited slip and 3.42 gears. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Thanks for the help. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

If you install a converter, you will want to get some sort of locker. Its going to make that initial hit to the rear wheels much harder. On which converter is best, it depends on your mods. If you do a power adder of some sorts, or do lots of heavy towing, you might want less stall. If you are basically stock or want more rpms for street / track races, go for higher stall. The more power you make, the larger the converter will stall. So a 2600 stall behind a stroker motor will stall much more than 2600.

Anything less than 3000 will have you wishing for more. Works awesome in my heavy 5400 lb. tank. Just look at those 60' times on stock radials.

I would have to say 3000.I've had mine for a while now and had no complants.Diffenatly don't go 3200 if you plan on any towing. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

I'd say go with the 3000 as well. I have a Vigilante 2800, but now I wish I'd gotten the 3200. I don't do any towing though, so I wasn't worried about that part.
