jut got done playing around with some xylene and thought i would share my info
went to sherwin williams, he told me to ask for the xylene racing discount, aparently they normaly sell it for $7.00/gallon but with this special discount it is $4.00/gallon. he said they sell ALOT to racers.
got my truck running good, around 11.5-1a/f ratio and 6-7psi of boost. no knock retard, jumped to a 8-9psi pully and instantly saw a full 8deg of knock retard. added a 30% mix of xylene(about 100 octane) and made a 2 new runs both had less then .5deg of knock retard. it seems to work great.
decided to try my tiny pully since it worked so well. it is a 11-12psi pully. i made 1 run and saw a full 8deg of knock retard right at first but it was going away as the run went on. prety sure i can't make this work especialy when it gets hot out so for now i am going to stick with the 8-9psi pully for now. thinking i might try and get 8-9psi to work with water injection and then go for 11-12psi with both the water injection and xylene.
now i am going to rip of a few extra parts and go and make a full 1/4 run(gtech). any guesses as to my new race ET?

Why don't you try a water/alky kit?
SJH in the FI section is running non intercooled 10-11psi with his custom setup.
The xylene may raise the octane but, does nothing for charge temps. With a water/alky setup it's like having a badass intercooler and high octane gas all in one.
Here is a link to a very simple water/alky kit that the GN guys like.

I bet you'll be in the 12's again.

12.78
i was hoping it would be better, i think it may be a traction thing, i am turning over all 4 for about 10feet now and my 60' is a little worse, about .05 worse. could be the weather too.
so i would say with a worse 60' and a slightly better ET that i must be making more power. have to wait till the roads are cleaner.

I sell the SMC alky kit for 345.00, its what u need to get rid of the KR. I love it in my Buick, 24#'s of boost on the stock long block and and only 1-2 degrees of KR(it is transitional). By the way u will not see a better deal on an SMC alky kit unless it is used. SMC's price on there site is 349.50, but that is the old price it is now 391 direct from SMC. Sorry for going on about it, but it is one bad a$$ kit.

The new system can be installed in an hour or so and has several unique features:
1: IN CAR PUMP SPEED CONTROL (figure 1) - This is the only system that allows you to turn a dial on the dash to vary the alcohol pump speed and pressure from inside the car. This makes for very easy tuning. Just turn it up till the car starts to bog, then cut it back a bit or turn up the boost more.
2: IN CAR "SPRAY ON" SET POINT (NEW!!) - One of the new improvements is the moving of the "SPRAY ON" boost switch from under hood to inside the in-car control box. This allow you to set the boost level that the system is activated at (4-16 psi) from inside the car.
3: IN CAR TEST SWITCH (NEW!!) - (figure 2) Now you can test the system with a press of a button!!
4: BRAIDED STAINLESS STEEL ALCOHOL LINE (NEW!!) - For the utmost in safety!
5: LOW ALCOHOL WARNING LITE - Now you know when the tank is less than 1/3 full!
6: SPRAY ON LITE - Lets you know when the pump is spraying.
7: ARM SWITCH and LITE - Allows you to deactivate system for testing.
8: FINE SPRAY NOZZLE - After testing the "NOS" nozzles used in other systems, we found their spray pattern to be too coarse. The brass nozzle we use has a very fine, cone shaped spray pattern that won't "drown" the spark when using a lot of spray.
9: 1/2 GALLON TANK - (figure 2) After months of searching, I finally found a very heavy duty, plastic chemical tank that makes a perfect alcohol reservoir! It has a wide mouth for easy filling, very heavy duty threads, and an in-tank pump and float switch for super easy installation
10:The bottle also has a pressure gauge.
