Default WTF? Truck is faster with the A/C on?!

Has anyone else noticed it seems like their truck has more low-midrange power when they're running their A/C or Defrost (where the compressor is running)? My throttle response seems so much more aggressive with the air on than with the air off. Is this in the tuning? Are there timing tables that get switched when the air is turned on? It's humid out tonight and I was driving with the defroster on to keep the window clear and it was eye poppingly responsive! Tried turning the air off and the truck ran so-so then....... Anyone else ever experience this?

I've noticed this myself. I just can't imagine this being true.
Though I do recall when my truck was tuned by Nelson, my A/C was on the entire time.
Though it may have also reacted this way before the tune as well. Basically, I just really do not remember.
What I do know is......it does feel stronger with A/c compresser on.

My does too, it feels like I can spin the tires easier. Maybe its just the texas sun melting the old tires.

I'm not at real tuner. I have noticed tuning areas, timing changes, with A/C on and a switch that turns off compressor at WOT.

Mine seems a little peppier off the line too with the AC on.
The turbo is probably getting better spool from increased engine load???
Just a thought in my case.

Mine seems to lose power with the a/c on...when it was stock it didn't seem to make a difference from what I can remember. Maybe the IAC values change to allow for a higher idle w/ ac on, and by doing so actually allows for more intake airflow thus increasing power? I dunno, just a hypothesis...

Wait...04's are drive by wire and don't have IAC valves correct? Scratch my hypothesis
