if you do get it... i got fuelrails, injectors, accs. mounting bracket, valve covers, and intake... and if it goes that far..... springs, rockers, pushroads, valves,..... aww hell i compleate set of heads..... all yours for $550

Like vanilla said, i wouldnt be TOO afraid of it. Ask him if you can pull the heads and drop the pan and inspect it before you buy it. Unless the block is cracked or there is any internal damage, you should be ok. But i doubt he is gonna let you pull the heads.

No way to tell if the block has a hairline fracture in it until you take it to a mchine shop. At that point the motor is yours and ur screwed if it does have a crack. With the obvious large impact the motor took I would be VERY careful.

Nah, leave it alone. Be patient and you can get one in good shape for just a bit more $. I paid $1000 shipped for a 0 mile, 2005 LQ4 longblock off ebay. Just look and take your time.
