Would a ZO6 cam be good for me?

I've got a 2000 Silvy 4x4 with 190K on it. It has the 4.8 in it. I'm looking for an all around cam that wouldn't need a tune, but would pick up power everywhere. I don't want to lose low end torque. This truck is NOT a drag racing truck. I'm not going to be putting headers or a stall in it. I want it to run like it does now, which is great.
I plan on putting in a set of low mile rockers in that I have on the shelf, also I have a set of Comp Cam chrome moly 7.40 pushrods and some titanium retainers. Would the 02+ ZO6 cam and springs be a good upgrade?
Would my stock cam out of my LS1 SS Camaro be any good.

this is true and you would still need tuning in order for it to run like you want it to. I wouldnt think your camaro cam would make any noticable power as well. If you want a cam, go and get something a little lower as far as lsa is concerned, say a 114 rather than the 117.5 like the Z06 is on. You can get small cams. Then again you are also gonna need some tuning. conundrum

although true, you will still throw codes and not idle like you would want to. Look at Budhayes3's sig. its a Comp 206/212 .515/.520 114 lsa. very mild cam probly will have a little run in the idle but not too much lope. prolly could get away with your stock spings and definately keep your stock pushrods. If you wanna be extra safe you could use ls6 springs. thatll probly be something a tad better. Still gonna need tuning. Wait4me is cheap but i would go with Nelson just because thats who has been helping me and Allen is second to none in the knowlege and customer service department.

Who is Nelson, and who is Wait4me? Are these guys who do mail order tuning? What do they charge? I'm sure I could go to the place that tuned my Camaro.

If you want some low end power on your 4X4 with tall tires get some 4.56:1 gears, long tube headers, asp crank pulley, a very mild cam and some tuning to get the most out of your set up.

i had a 212/218 comp in mine with stock stall and springs for a little over 10k miles. it ran ok but wanst big enough for me. if your changing springs go with something a little bigger on like a 115LSA. im pretty sure the higher you get in LSA the more torque youll have and it will idle better
