it would definatly help....not worth the trouble of a head swap, but it would definatly help with the cam you already have. they flow a ton better than the 5.3 heads, and they have bigger valves for more airflow, the exhaust port is awesome on those heads(6.0/ls6) also.

also my pistons didnt come with wrist pins which i thought they would...wheres a good place to find some wrist pins?

and the place that is puttin my cam bearings in my block said they need my cam...i only have my stock cam right now and im gonna run a bigger one...could this cause problems? sorry for all the off subject questions...thanks!

i wouldn't bother with it if you're gonna have a new motor. as far as the wrist pins i would call the place you got the pistons from and talk to them about that. and for the cam bearings it should be fine to just send them your stock cam....they just need to know the outter diameter of the journal or whatever it is.

i would think you would lose some power due to loss of compression. They do flow better though so you should gain some in that aspect. I think you will gain more than a lose if you know what i mean. If you could get them milled that would be great

mill them to the stock CR, and then a little more...say .030" beyone stock and you'd have a pretty decent setup. my new heads for the 6.0 are, pretty much a ported/polished 6.0 head with ferra 2.02/1.60 valves and rev dual springs w/ti retainers.
