Default Wiring the dual Flex-a-lite 292s?

I'm installing the dual fans. The instructions say I should use the A/C clutch HOT wire to trigger the fans when the temp is below the operating temp, but I have a problem with that. That is a high current circuit in that it is the LOAD side of the relay that controls the A/C clutch coil. I figured I'd use the HOT side of the relay coil instead as a trigger since the current there is much lower. I thought I'd do this to avoid damage to the VSC unit due to overcurrent. Has anyone wired these fans the way they recommend using the Clutch Coil HOT wire with success instead of using the realy coil? Can the VSC handle the current of the A/C clutch coil?

Unless you wire it in series with the coil, the vsc will not see the current going thru the coil. Current is divided on a parallel circuit. So just by tapping off that line, the vsc is only going to get the current it demands.

I have dual electric fans and if I remember I hooked the A/C wire to the positive to make sure you hook it to the right one turn your A/C on and hook a test light to the negative battery post then stick it to one of the wires going to the A/C which ever on lights up the test light that is the one you need to use.
