will this work ?

Hi guys ,
I am doing a swap of a lm7 into a 55 chevy truck . I am going to be running the edelbrock carbed intake ( p/n 7118 ) and a 650cfm carb . I am still on the fence about a cam and new springs .
My question is , I have gotten different responses to this , can I run this setup with a 4l60 trans? -- thats what was there when it was being run with the 350 that was previously in there that was carbed , so I can't see why this setup wouldn't work .
Just asking to be sure and to get opinions
thanks !

You can, but why throw away the fuel injection system for a slightly improved hole in the bottom of a bucket fuel system (carburetor), when you will need a ecm to control the 60e anyways?
