Default will my torque converter be enough?

i have a trailblazer stall...the plan is a LS1 with a 224/224 .581 .581 112. will it have enough stall to not give me any problems? i dont want a truck that dies on quick stops.

You won't have any problems. As a matter or fact you don't even need a bigger converter for a cam. You will benefit from a bigger converter to get better 1/4 mile times (better 60') and to get into the cam's power band.

my truck doesnt stutter with the 418 and 3900. You need a bigger stall to make use of the cam IMO. 3K would be better.

yeah I think a 3000 would be a lot better for that cam.

the TB unit would work, but like the others i think a 3000+ would be the way to go.

My cam would shudder like that when it idled at 550. I bumped it up to 625 and now I have no shudder at all. Your cam is much bigger, but you have a little more displacement and that stall will help. I have the stock convertor.

i know a 3000 will work better. im guna take it to the track and if it still pulls around a 2.10 60' on street tires ill keep the tb. ill most likely be going to 3200 but it will be the trailblazer for now.
