Default Will this be to much??

Ok i installed a 212/212 522/522 cam and 2001 zo6 springs in truck today and my rockers didn't look real good so i was looking at the Yella Terra rockers. They offer them in a 1.7 and 1.8 i am not sure what stock is but would the 1.8 be to much for my 01 zo6 springs with my cam??

Stock is 1.7 ...

Need more info on the cam before we can say ya or na on the 1.8's. Is it a comp cam and XE or XEr lobes? Probably with that low of a lift and IF it's a CompCam, it has the XE lobes which should be OK with the 1.8's and those springs. You might ought to think about getting better pushrods though.

Ya it is a Compcam XE 112 lobe i believe. With the 1.8's can i keep the stock size pushrods because i have the TR right now? They look great but i don't want the needle bearings falling out of the stock rockers is all. Ya i wished i would of got the 02 springs but i got a smoken deal on the 01's.

I would stick with the stockers. Needle bearing problems with those aren't rare enoguh to say not to worry about them, but aren't often enough to say you should consider changing them out.

If you just want to move to 1.8's I would make sure you get some nice springs. I don't know what the 01's are capable of, but the 1.8's will add 35% more lift I think it is.

you'll go to .552 lift with the 1.8:1 YT rockers....still within the .600 that the stock Z06 springs will allow

BTW...that's only 6% more lift...not 35% , 35% more lift would require a 2.3:1 rocker and be like .704 lift !!!!....you'd definitely have P/V clearance problems with that kind of lift !!

LOL ... now that I think about it .. that does seem to be a pretty significant increse.

He doesn't have the 02 z06 springs, so that should be kept in mind. I don't know what the 01's are rated to.

I do believe max lif ton the 01's is like .540 so i will be over that with the 1.8 rockers. IF i put thenm on i would see a lot of valve float i bet.
