Default Cammed 4.8

I am putting a comp 216/220 cam in a 99 4.8. I doesn't have any fuel upgrades and was wondering if the stock injectors will be sufficent or so i wait and install the 8.1 injectors. I am wanting to do this for aleast security purpose. This cam will be ran with a bolt ons and maybe some different heads or the stock shaved a little.

I do know that it would be a lot better with the 8.1 injectors but are they need right away or could they wait till winter when the trucks goes in storage and gets worked on.

I would upgrade the injectors it will be pushing it, with what you are describing the stock fuel pump should be fine IMO.
