I can get a set of MAC mid length headers off of an 01 camaro SS cheap, i know they'll bolt up to the heads and all that, but has anyone tried this before? it looks like it will work, but im not sure if it will clear the steering column or not, it'll eb close, but i know its REALLY close on the SS. my truck has a 3" body lift along with a 6" suspension lift, so i think it should clear the body. Any ideas/suggestions? thanks

they will WORK, they might not fit though...i would just measure everything to see if they will fit before you pay for them...even test fit them if you can.

 

yeah thats what i thought about doing, i work on newer f-bods and a friend of mine wants stock exhaust back on for warranty work and hes going to give me the headers cheap for the labor time on his car, so really i can test fit them and all that, but i wsa just curious to see if it has been done before to save me a little time and aggrivation. I know the y-pipe wont work, but i wsa going to drive it to the exhaust shop open header and have them run true duals from the header flange....should hopefully sound betterand louder with some flowmasters. thanks
